Join us for a behind-the-scenes view of the University of Washington Applied Mathematics Department, ranked first among Applied Math programs in the U.S., as it provides an interdisciplinary problem-solving approach to science, technology and medical research.

Applied Mathematics is a branch of Mathematics utilizing mathematical methods and specialized knowledge to investigate problems concerning:

We are excited to host this event in the newly renovated Lewis Hall.  Constructed in 1899 as a dormitory, Lewis Hall is one of the oldest buildings on the UW Seattle campus and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is also a part of the University’s “Restore the Core” Program involving building renovations updating all major building systems using green building sustainability goals to achieve a Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design silver certification.
